Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking an Engineer I, Mechanical for our Mount Juliet, TN facility. The role is onsite for the first six months with potential for a hybrid schedule (1-2 days remote per week) after completion.

You will design enclosures and sheet metal parts for medium voltage products, create 3D models and assemblies, and maintain BOMs while coordinating with production to resolve issues. Requires 2+ years of design experience and a BS in mechanical engineering when possible.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE 2+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling software – Creo is preferred.
• Experience designing Sheet Metal enclosures.
• US citizen or those who have the right to work in the US with no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer specifications and elementary electrical schematics.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings for development of custom busbar, barriers, and sheet metal parts.
• Generate complete 3D assemblies of customer orders.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials to meet custom applications.
• Coordinate with production and other support functions to resolve design issues promptly.
