The position emphasizes HVAC piping and plumbing design, load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selection, and coordination with clients, architects, and contractors. Familiarity with Trane TRACE 700/TRACE 3D Plus and Revit is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing system design including load calculations and energy simulations.
• Proficient with Trane TRACE 700/TRACE 3D Plus; knowledge of design-build projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and engineering for commercial and industrial existing-building and new-construction HVAC projects.
• Perform load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and system development.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, developers, general contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop project scope and deliver design solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers and Revit designers while coordinating design requirements across disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and sequences of operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with an active Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead mechanical design and engineering for commercial and industrial existing-building and new-construction projects.
• The role will focus on HVAC, piping, and plumbing system design, including load calculations, energy simulations, equipment selection, duct and pipe sizing, and system development.
• The engineer will work directly with clients, architects, developers, general contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop project scope and deliver value-driven design solutions.
• The position will provide technical guidance to mechanical engineers and Revit designers while coordinating design requirements across disciplines.
