Engineered Systems & Services LLC in Suwanee, GA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our office. The successful candidate will focus on HVAC design, with plumbing and fire protection knowledge a plus, and will contribute to diverse government, healthcare, and water/wastewater projects.

Based in Suwanee, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team, work with clients, and advance toward leadership or project management paths depending on interest.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of HVAC system design and engineering.
• PE license or EIT certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, SMACNA guidelines, and local mechanical codes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC systems, and knowledge of plumbing and fire protection will help.
• Develop reports and narratives for preliminary design submittals, evaluations, and troubleshooting reports.
• Perform Construction Administration: review submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits.

Engineered Systems & Services (ESS) is looking for a mechanical engineer in our Suwanee, GA office.

About Us:

ESS provides design and construction management services for a growing variety of clients in government, healthcare, and water/wastewater facilities markets.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be based in our Suwanee, Georgia office, approximately 35 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta. Proficiency in HVAC design is a must, but proficiency in plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus. The position offers career paths that could lead to mechanical discipline leadership or project management depending upon your interests.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Design for HVAC primarily, but knowledge of plumbing and fire protection systems design will be helpful.
• Developing reports and narratives for preliminary design submittals, evaluations, and troubleshooting reports.
• Performing Construction Administration for projects under construction, including reviewing construction submittals, responding to requests for information, and conducting periodic site visits W

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an accredited bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering

License:

Engineer-in-Training (passed the Fundamentals in Engineering Exam)

Experience:

3+ years of mechanical design experience.

Availability:

Full-time; Monday – Friday; 8 hours daily

Language:

Speak and write English proficiently

Mobility:

GeorgiaDriver’s license

Required Skills:

• HVAC systems design
• Capability to lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers and designers to execute project objectives.
• Proficient with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Microsoft Office Applications.
• Strong technical and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar)
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, SMACNA guidelines, and local mechanical codes
• Experience with energy modeling and load calculation software (Trane TRACE, HAP, or similar)
• PE license or EIT certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with clients
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Undergoing a background check.
• Verification of US citizenship or permanent legal resident status
