You will create cost-effective, high-quality designs in SolidWorks and translate customer requirements into practical, build-ready solutions while collaborating with project, manufacturing, and customer teams. Responsibilities include creating detailed drawings, BOMs, and manuals; mentoring junior designers; and identifying design risks to

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design within automation, custom machinery, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks including complex assemblies and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical concepts and create designs in SolidWorks for automation systems.
• Collaborate with project, manufacturing, and customer teams to ensure build-ready designs.
• Create detailed drawing packages with tolerances, BOMs and assembly drawings.
• Mentor junior designers and provide technical guidance.
• Identify and address design risks to meet timelines and budgets.
• Support RFQs and supplier discussions for mechanical system purchases.
• Participate in reviews and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Contribute to BOS design standards and process improvements.
