Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in Delphos, OH to evaluate, redesign, and improve manufacturing equipment for safer, more reliable, and efficient operation. This role blends CAD design with on-the-floor problem solving to extend equipment life and boost production performance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting, and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing or equipment environments.
• Experience designing or redesigning production machinery or assemblies.
• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD platforms (SolidWorks/In ventor/AutoCAD/Creo).
• Ability to create accurate drawings, layouts, and fabrication documentation.
• Experience managing equipment-improvement projects from concept to testing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing equipment for weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Develop mechanical designs and redesigns for aging machinery and components.
• Create and revise CAD drawings, assemblies, and layouts.
• Reverse-engineer components when originals are unavailable.
• Coordinate with maintenance, vendors, and fabricators.
• Support equipment modifications from concept through installation and startup.
