Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer in Delphos, Ohio, to design, validate, and modernize food‑manufacturing equipment. You will create 3D models, fabrication drawings, and BOMs, ensuring sanitary, safe, and maintainable designs for production and packaging lines.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical design, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and knowledge of GD&T. Expect hands-on collaboration with fabrication shops and cross‑functional teams in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical-design experience.
• Minimum of three years of mechanical-design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and fabrication drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, fits, tolerances, and surface-finish specifications.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations supporting a design.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and complete fabrication drawings for production and packaging equipment.
• Specify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and fabrication requirements.
• Analyze loads, stress, deflection, fatigue, torque, and drive sizing for designs.
• Coordinate fabrication with internal resources and vendors; manage revisions and BOMs.
• Apply sanitary-design principles for surface finish, joints, and cleanability.
• Support installation, testing, startup, and ongoing maintenance of equipment.
