Job summary

The Boeing Company in Hazelwood, MO (and Oklahoma City, OK) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to design, develop, and sustain aircrew and maintenance training devices for multiple aircraft. You will work with a cross-functional team to translate requirements into hardware designs and support manufacturability.

Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, creating detailed drawings, defining interfaces, validating hardware, and coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
• 1+ years' experience in mechanical systems design and analysis.
• 1+ years’ experience supporting cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements
• Translate system requirements into detailed part, assembly, and installation drawings
• Create documentation to capture system interface definition
• Test and validate hardware to ensure system designs meet requirements
• Assist in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements
• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
• Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs
