Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Pay Rate: $60–61/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on mechanical subsystem design, fluidic systems, engineering analysis, and new product introduction (NPI) within a collaborative product development environment.

The ideal candidate has experience designing precision mechanical assemblies, fluid handling systems, and semiconductor equipment using Siemens NX, while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and fluidic subsystems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation using Siemens NX.
  • Design and optimize fluid handling systems including manifolds, tubing, valves, fittings, and related mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform engineering analysis including FEA, CFD, tolerance stack-up, and structural evaluations to validate designs.
  • Support prototype builds, system integration, debugging, and product validation.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through production release.
  • Collaborate with systems, electrical, process, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, root cause analysis, and engineering change activities.
  • Improve product reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost through sound engineering practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 6+ years of mechanical design experience.
  • Experience designing semiconductor capital equipment or other complex electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
  • Experience performing FEA and CFD analysis to support design decisions.
  • Knowledge of fluidic system design including tubing, manifolds, fittings, valves, and process flow components.
  • Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, validation, and engineering changes.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting wet process semiconductor equipment or fluid delivery systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or Creo.
  • Knowledge of DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced NPI environments.
