Job summary

Associates Systems LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive valve design development and modify existing products. You will contribute to prototype creation and validation of concepts, ensuring alignment with engineering goals.

Responsibilities include collaboration with manufacturing, QA, and vendors, applying analytical tools, and supporting product design projects under the direction of Engineering Managers. This role requires 3–5+ years of experience and CAD proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and analytical tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, Mathcad).
  • Experience with geometric tolerance techniques (ANSI Y14.5) is a plus.

Job description

Mechanical Design Engineer

Perform engineering valve design functions for the development of new products and for the modification of existing products.

  • Design and develop prototype models and methods to validate design concepts.
  • Collaborate with team members to validate designs and make recommended change
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, production, vendors, and contractors to support product design projects, with feedback from Engineering Managers
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree.
  • 3-5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with an understanding of analytical tools such as ANSYS, MATLAB, and/or Mathcad
  • Experience with using geometric tolerance techniques and drafting to ensure proper alignment and stackups (ANSI Y14.5M-1994 is a plus)
  • Experience with designing fluid handling devices (valves, pumps) is a plus
