Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a six+ month contract position located in Rocky Mount, NC. The role focuses on supporting the yield improvement project for the F414 EFC and EHSV product line and involves repair development and technical documentation oversight.

The position requires reviewing technical requirements, coordinating findings, and developing overhaul repair instructions and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with repair development processes and documentation.
• Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Review and research repair development technical requirements (processes, procedures, techniques, etc.).
• Review and research repair development regulatory requirements compliance (materials, tools, equipment, technical documentation, facilities, etc.).
• Coordinate findings and proposed solutions for TAT reduction and FPY improvement.
• Integrate findings and approved solutions into current development and revisions (Technical Publication Change Requests, Temporary and/or complete Revisions).
• Develop and complete Overhaul Repair Instructions.
• Develop and complete repair processes and procedures documentation.
• Develop and complete Technical Inspection Instructions.
• Develop and complete technical equivalencies for materials, tools and equipment used in overhaul repair activities at Honeywell Repair and Overhaul sites
• Provide oversight technical support to suppliers for overhaul repair activities.

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr on W2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

The new hire will be supporting the yield improvement project for the F414 EFC and EHSV product line

Key responsibilities:
