Qualifications

• Excellent cross-functional communication with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Familiarity with regulatory and code compliance processes (UL/CSA/IEC/ETL).

Responsibilities

• Design components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks with production-ready drawings (GD&T).
• Translate product requirements into manufacturable designs balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
• Partner with manufacturing to support DFM/DFA reviews and create assembly instructions.
• Support NPI and first-article inspection; assist production ramp-up.
• Create and maintain BOMs, ECOs, and technical documentation.
• Select materials, fasteners, and processes based on design intent; perform basic engineering calculations/FEA.
• Collaborate with R&D to develop prototypes and troubleshoot fit and tolerance issues.
• Work with Procurement to ensure supplier conformance and adjust designs for manufacturability.
• Document the design process and present progress to stakeholders.
• Evaluate designs against industry standards and regulations.

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and refining mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production, while working closely with our manufacturing facility to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost, and quality.
