Job summary

BOXABL seeks an experienced construction professional to serve as the local representative from site visit to homeowner handover. You will be the boots on the ground, assess installation access, coordinate site readiness, oversee the general contractor’s work, and keep homeowners informed throughout the project.

Construction experience is required; modular or factory-built housing experience is a major advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of site preparation, foundations, utilities, construction sequencing, plan reading and contractor QC.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to handle difficult conversations and coordinate multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the site and installation access.
  • Meet the homeowner and establish BOXABL contact; explain next steps and responsibilities.
  • Inspect delivery access, space for unit placement, and potential crane setup; coordinate installation approach.
  • Submit a site report with measurements, photos, access concerns and required corrections.
  • Coordinate site preparation, installation readiness and project schedule with all parties.
  • Oversee contractor performance, document deficiencies, and track milestones and costs.
  • Provide regular progress updates to homeowners; resolve questions and escalate issues as needed.
  • Lead final homeowner walkthrough, close punch list, and ensure warranty contacts are understood.

Strongcustomer service, sound judgment, and consistent follow-through are essential.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssess the site and installation accessMeet the homeowner, introduce yourself as their local BOXABL contact, and explain the next steps and project responsibilities.Inspect and document delivery access, gate and driveway widths, turning space, slopes, trees, overhead wires, structures, and other obstacles. Check space for unit placement and unfolding where applicable.Identify potential crane setup and staging areas. Coordinate with the delivery team, installer, and crane provider to evaluate a feasible installation method, including a non-crane approach when appropriate.Submit a site report with measurements, photos, access concerns, utility observations, required corrections, and items needing specialist review before work proceeds.Coordinate site preparation and installationCoordinate the homeowner, general contractor, BOXABL team, delivery provider, and installers around the project schedule, scope, and responsibilities.Track foundation preparation, grading, drainage, utility trenching and connections, required permits and inspections, and delivery readiness. Flag missing prerequisites before scheduling the unit installation.Oversee contractor performance and qualityVisit active projects and inspect visible work against approved plans, the agreed scope, and installation requirements. Document deficiencies, assign follow-up actions, and verify corrections.Monitor milestones, delays, proposed changes, and site conditions. Verify completed work before recommending milestone payments and escalate unapproved costs or unresolved quality concerns.Customer service and project completionProvide regular progress updates, including a weekly homeowner update while work is active. Explain upcoming activities, expected disruptions, and schedule changes clearly.Respond promptly to questions and complaints, resolve issues within your authority, and escalate concerns early to BOXABL leadership.Coordinate delivery and installation readiness, installation follow-up, final inspections, and outstanding closeout items with the responsible parties.Lead the final homeowner walkthrough, create and close the punch list, coordinate key handover and orientation, and confirm the customer understands service and warranty contacts.Maintain current photos, visit reports, schedules, customer communications, and issue logs in BOXABL’s project management system.Experience and EducationRequired qualificationsDemonstrated residential construction experience in field supervision, project management, general contracting, or a comparable hands-on role.Working knowledge of site preparation, foundations, utilities, construction sequencing, plan reading, and contractor quality control.Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain construction issues clearly and handle difficult conversations professionally.Strong organization, practical problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently across an assigned territory.Ability to travel regularly to project sites, use mobile reporting tools, and work safely in active construction environments.Preferred experienceModular, factory-built, manufactured housing, or ADU installation experience is strongly preferred.Experience coordinating cranes, transportation, module placement, and installation crews, plus familiarity with California permitting and inspection processes.What success looks likeAccurate site assessments, fewer preventable delivery problems, timely resolution of construction issues, qualitywork, complete project records, and homeowners who feel informed and supported through handover.Work Environment/Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
