Job summary

A staffing agency is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a 12-month contract position in Minneapolis. The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, 5+ years of design engineering experience, and 3+ years with ProE Creo. Candidates will work on electro-mechanical assemblies and must have experience in structural analysis using Ansys. They should also be familiar with ruggedized products and thermal management. We have a 12 month contract position for a Mechanical Design Engineer located on the southeast side of Minneapolis.

Candidate must have a 4 year degree in engineering. Must have 5+ years of Design Engineering experience and 3+ years of ProE Creo.

Candidate will be working from concept through to production of electro-mechanical assemblies, injection molded plastic parts and sheetmetal/aluminum components. Candidates must be able design these components and follow through with testing and analysis (mostly structural/stress analysis using Ansys or Creo Simulation). Must have experience working with ruggedized and hermetically sealed products (experience with IP67/69). Will also be dealing with thermal management situations and determining EMC compatibility.
