Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a mechanical engineer in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and have 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in electro-mechanical packaging design and CAD using Solidworks. Job description

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical degree.
• 2-5 years of experience with electro-mechanical packaging design for electronic assemblies and sheet-metal design.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD design using Solidworks, and knowledgeable in design tolerance analysis and mechanical packaging of electronic equipment, sheet metal design, and drawing and documentation background.
• Knowledge of fabrication processes used in producing sheet metal chassis and structural parts, injection molding of plastics, and machining.
• Knowledge of (FEM) Finite Element Modeling (FEA) mechanical stress modeling and thermal analysis/modeling tools.
