Job summary

Mohawk Lifts in Amsterdam, NY is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design of innovative, safe automotive lifting equipment from concept through production release. You will collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and service teams to turn ideas into robust, certifiable products.

Ideal candidates have a strong CAD background (Autodesk Inventor), FEA experience, and a track record of taking products from concept to production while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 5+ years of experience as a Design Engineer
• At least 3 years of design experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally involving capital equipment
• Strong CAD experience; Autodesk Inventor preferred
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and stress analysis
• Experience developing products from concept through production release
• Valid driver's license

Desired Skills & Experience:
