Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own dense hardware from architecture through production in Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on chassis and line-card design for AI networking hardware.

You'll work across tolerance analysis, EMI and cooling constraints, prototypes, qualification and production transfer, with ownership from first CAD to final production. Strong communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams is expected as you navigate NEBS-style

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering telecom, networking or data-center hardware.
• Ownership of chassis and line-card designs using CAD tools.
• Experience moving tolerance, EMI, cooling decisions into production.

Responsibilities

• Design and own dense chassis and line-card hardware end-to-end.
• Lead tolerance analysis, EMI/cooling constraints, and mechanical interfaces.
• Oversee prototype, qualification and production transfer from first CAD to final product.

I’m working with afast-growing AI infrastructure companybuilding high-speed networking hardware for hyperscalers and NeoClouds.

They’ve raised$610M, including a$500M Series B at a $4.2B valuation, and are hiring a seniorMechanical Design Engineerto own dense hardware from architecture through production.

You’ll work across:

• Switch chassis and line-card design
• Tolerance analysis and complex electro-mechanical assemblies
• OSFP/QSFP, PCBs, cabling, EMI and cooling constraints
• Prototype, qualification and production

What the team are ideally looking for:

• 10+ years delivering telecom, networking or data-center hardware
• Ownership ofchassis and line-card designsusing Creo or SolidWorks
• Experience takingtolerance, connector, cable, EMI, safety and cooling decisions into production
• Hands-on work withprototypes, supplier issues and environmental/NEBS-style qualification
• Clear ownership of a dense system fromfirst CAD through production
