Zusammenfassung

CultureMill Recruiting’s client in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and build custom electronics powering automated production systems. You’ll own designs from architecture through bring-up, test, and production, and regularly explore EE areas beyond your current scope.

Strong fundamentals and first-principles mindset are required. You’ll collaborate across mechanical, software, and controls teams, applying high-speed data, sensors, firmware, and FPGA know-how to

Qualifikationen

  • BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar discipline (MS/PhD a plus)
  • 5+ years designing and delivering complex electrical hardware (8+ a plus)
  • Broad EE fundamentals and comfort solving problems from first principles
  • Hands-on analog and digital circuit design: schematics, analysis, prototyping, and PCB design
  • Ideally, you've taken new hardware products from concept through production, not just incremental updates to legacy designs
  • Bonus: sensors, embedded microcontrollers and firmware, or FPGA hardware and software development
  • Bonus: high-speed data acquisition, high-accuracy motion systems, high-speed scanning, optomechanical assemblies, or complex electromechanical systems
  • Bonus: industrial automation or robotics
  • Able to work on-site in Los Angeles five days a week, and a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or green card holder) per ITAR requirements

Aufgaben

  • Rapidly design, build, and test highly reliable electronics for production-scale manufacturing systems
  • Drive electrical architecture and requirements, then carry designs through component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, and production
  • Model and simulate circuit designs to validate performance before hardware is built
  • Debug the unexpected hands-on, using lab equipment, custom instrumentation, and purpose-built test setups
  • Productize your designs: documentation, manufacturing handoff, and test
  • Challenge assumptions and bring new design approaches to the table
  • Work closely with mechanical, software, and controls engineers on complex integrated systems

Jobbeschreibung

The most advanced hardware in the world is being held back by how it gets made. Our client is fixing that. From their facility at the heart of LA's hard-tech corridor, they're building AI-driven factories that produce precision components for rockets, defense systems, and the next generation of frontier hardware. Their platform combines proprietary production hardware with real-time sensing, machine learning, and on-site GPU compute, so the factory sees, learns, and corrects as every part is built. Backed by top-tier investors including NVIDIA, the company is past proof-of-concept: demand outpaces capacity, and the team is scaling fast.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll design and build the custom electronics that power highly automated production systems. The work spans high-performance compute, high-speed communications, embedded hardware, motion control, and autonomous robotics. This is a cradle-to-grave role: you'll own designs from architecture and schematics through bring-up, test, and production, and you'll regularly step into corners of EE you haven't worked in before. No manufacturing background required, just strong fundamentals and a first-principles mindset.

What You'll Do
  • Rapidly design, build, and test highly reliable electronics for production-scale manufacturing systems
Who You Are
  • BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar discipline (MS/PhD a plus)
