Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Broomfield, CO to design and develop mechanical components from concept to production, using CAD tools and GD&T. This role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 4+ years of CAD-based design experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience with packaging, structural/thermal analyses, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced environment, offering growth within a collaborative, innovative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience with CAD-based modeling and packaging.
• Working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation standards.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced development environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production release, including prototype and production hardware.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using industry-standard CAD tools, applying GD&T and best drafting practices.
• Release and manage product data, drawings, and change orders in the PLM system in accordance with configuration management processes.
• Perform basic to intermediate mechanical analyses (e.g., structural, thermal, tolerance, and trade studies) to support design decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and scalable.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be integral to the Engineering Department supporting cross‑functional teams. • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production release, including prototype and production hardware.

• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering documentation standards

• Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, fast‑paced development environments
