Job summary

HDR is seeking a Mechanical Design Coordinator in Boise, Idaho. You will coordinate mechanical aspects for commercial projects, prepare HVAC/ plumbing construction documents, and write mechanical specifications.

You will use engineering software to size equipment and analyze energy loads, while coordinating with architectural and engineering teams. Requires a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong computer skills including HVAC software and equipment selection tools.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects.
• Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design.
• Write and edit mechanical specifications and select systems and devices.
• Develop HVAC loads and energy analyses using engineering software.
• Supervise Mechanical CAD Technicians and coordinate with other disciplines.
