Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an assembly worker to assemble and disassemble parts in an industrial setting. You will use tools and equipment, collaborate as a team, and communicate effectively to support production goals.

Responsibilities include following drawings, testing, and maintaining equipment, with a 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Prior assembly experience and safety-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Able to work 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
  • Ability to use tools and equipment required for assembly operations.
  • Good listening and communication skills.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily 5S and cleaning procedures.
  • Assist others in solving quality and production issues.
  • Other duties as may be required or assigned.
  • Assemble, test, and inspect according to engineering drawings and test codes.
  • Work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that fails tests.
  • Maintain assembly and test equipment as required.
  • Move material to and from the workstation by hand, cart, and crane.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and maintain good housekeeping.

How will you make a difference?

You will be responsible for assembling and disassembling assembly parts, as well as having the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the operations in an industrial setting.   • Hourly pay range starting at $19.00 per hour.

Personal protective equipment must be used to prevent exposure to workplace hazards.

Mental Demands: The employee is required to use written and oral communication skills; read and interpret data, information, and documents; analyze and solve problems; use math and mathematical reasoning; observe and interpret situations; learn and apply new information or skills; and interact with employees, customers, and vendors.
