Summary
Per Se Group has an outstanding position for a Power Plant Mechanical Construction Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction activities within a power plant setting. This role ensures that all mechanical projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while adhering to all regulatory and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Project Coordination:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate mechanical construction activities for power plant projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and deadlines.
  • Liaise with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize project performance.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring expenditures align with budgetary constraints.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all mechanical construction activities comply with safety regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards or safety issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable mechanical codes and standards.

Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the quality of mechanical construction work, ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify that all installations meet quality and performance requirements.

Communication and Reporting:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, highlighting key achievements, issues, and changes.

Problem-Solving:

  • Identify and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during construction activities.
  • Implement corrective actions as needed to address any deviations from project plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field – or years of experience
  • Proven experience in mechanical construction, preferably within the power generation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

The compensation range for this role is $70/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
