Job summary

Worley seeks a Superintendent - Mechanical to lead on-site mechanical construction activities for sustainable infrastructure projects. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, coordinate field operations, and drive safety, quality, and collaboration to meet budgets and schedules.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, coordination with engineering, procurement, and project management, and delivering execution excellence at the project site. Strong safety and sustainability focus is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with leadership experience in mechanical construction.
• Proven track record supervising mechanical construction on industrial or large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of installation, equipment setting, alignment, and turnover processes.
• Experience managing schedules, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with customers, contractors, and inspectors.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site mechanical construction activities to meet safety, schedule, and budget goals.
• Drive a pro-active safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
• Oversee field admin, procurement coordination, subcontractor management, and field engineering.
• Serve as primary site contact for mechanical execution among teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to craft workforce and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, assess performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Support integration of sustainable solutions into project delivery and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, QA, commissioning, and PM teams to optimize workflows.
• Plan workforce, improve productivity, and allocate resources efficiently.
• Ensure installation activities meet specs, codes, and company procedures.
• Oversee equipment installation, alignment, mechanical completion, and turnover.
• Support readiness, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate performance updates to leadership.
• Identify field challenges and deliver practical, value-driven solutions.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture and continuous improvement.
• Promote environmental stewardship and safe, sustainable project delivery.
