Polk Mechanical is seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. The Mechanical Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage work on systems ranging from small commercial installations to large, complex projects involving multiple plumbing systems. The role also includes assisting in the administration of the company's safety program to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Supervise work on systems of varying complexity, from basic commercial to large projects.
  2. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with corporate policies.
  3. Coordinate with clients and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
  4. Manage and direct project field manpower to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget; investigate and resolve serious issues as they arise.
  5. Represent the company in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
  6. Ensure the quality of installed products and systems.
  7. Schedule and manage manpower to optimize labor budgets.
  8. Collaborate with the project manager on project execution.
  9. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by corporate leadership.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 10 years of verifiable experience in plumbing, piping, or sheet metal trades, including a minimum of 5 years in supervisory roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing projects valued at $35 million or more.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing systems, including installation methods for domestic water and medical gases.
  • Comprehensive understanding of piping and ductwork systems and their installation methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with employees and clients.
  • Ability to supervise multiple foremen and coordinate project schedules to meet deadlines.
