Job summary

RIMEPRO INC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support large HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects in Smyrna, GA. You will work closely with Project Managers and field teams, gaining hands-on exposure to project financials, scheduling, procurement, coordination, and client management.

The role offers opportunities to develop knowledge of mechanical construction systems, track budgets and schedules, and participate in meetings with owners and contractors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of construction experience preferred.
• Experience as Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, or Assistant Project Manager.
• Mechanical contractor experience preferred; strong MEP construction exposure may be considered.
• Healthcare construction experience is highly desirable.
• Data center, mission-critical, commercial, or other complex project experience is a plus.
• Exposure to budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, procurement, and change orders.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
• Collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day-to-day execution of commercial mechanical projects.
• Support project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Assist with procurement of equipment, materials, and subcontracted scopes.
• Track project schedules, milestones, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and general contractors.
• Participate in owner, contractor, and internal project meetings.
• Review drawings and specifications and assist with resolving coordination issues.
• Track labor, materials, equipment, and project costs.
• Assist with billing, change management, and project closeout.
• Develop knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical construction systems.
• Take on increasing project ownership as experience and capabilities develop.
