Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Saint Joseph, MI seeks an assembly technician to build Snap-on products from start to finish. You will follow written and verbal instructions, manage material transactions in ERP (Epicor preferred), and ensure finished goods are inspected, labeled, packaged, and palletized to 5S standards.

Daily duties include staging components, checking fit and function, reporting progress, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year assembly experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus.
  • Comfort with basic computer tasks (data entry).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work independently or with others, and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components, check fit and function, and fasten subassemblies with care.
  • Perform in-process checks and final inspection, then label, package, and palletize finished product.
  • Replenish supplies, track stock levels, and place/expedite orders as needed.
  • Complete ERP transactions and maintain accurate paperwork.
  • Uphold 5S standards in a clean and safe work area; communicate priorities and progress.
  • Assist the team and take on related projects to meet goals.

About the roleBased in Saint Joseph, MI and reporting to the Production Supervisor (or designee), you will assemble Snap-on products from start to finish using written and verbal work instructions. You’ll move materials, perform inspections, package finished goods, complete ERP transactions, and keep your work area clean and orderly to 5S standards. You will also communicate priorities, progress, and results to support our standards and continuous improvement culture.A day in the lifeStart your shift by reviewing work instructions, staging components, and logging into the ERP (Epicor preferred) to manage material transactions and paperwork.Assemble components, check fit and function, and fasten subassemblies with care and precision.Perform in-process checks and final inspection, then label, package, and palletize finished product.Replenish and track supplies: check stock levels, anticipate needs, place/expedite orders, and verify receipts.Maintain a spotless, safe work area—sweep floors, clean equipment, tidy bowl enclosures—and uphold 5S.Capture shift production summaries and report progress, priorities, and results.Assist the team and take on related projects as needed to meet goals.What you bringHigh School diploma or equivalent.Assembly team experience; 1 year preferred.Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus.Comfort with basic computer tasks (data entry), strong reading and math skills.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; work independently and collaboratively.Ownership mindset to plan work, set priorities, monitor progress, and communicate outcomes.Commitment to quality by following organizational standards.Physical demandsLift up to 50 pounds.Frequent bending/stooping; repetitive fine-motor hand movements.Standing and walking 8+ hours per day; walking long distances throughout the day.Climb step stools/small ladders as needed.Role detailsLocation: Saint Joseph, MIPosition Type: Full TimeReports To: Production Supervisor or DesigneeLegal and compliance**Status:** Hourly*This position is a safety-sensitive position.
