Job summary

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, seeks a candidate to assemble automotive lifts and components, under the supervision of Production. The role starts at $17.86/hr with an attendance incentive, with hours 5:30am–4:00pm, Mon–Thu and every other Friday in Louisville, KY.

You will assist in 6S safety initiatives, contribute to quality and efficiency improvements, and support fabrication as needed. Must meet PPE requirements and communicate effectively at all levels.

Qualifications

• Able to use assembly tools and read blueprints.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Understand blueprint reading and measurement practices.
• Excellent communication across all levels of the organization.
• Strong grasp of process interactions and safety practices.
• Solid problem solving and manufacturing knowledge.
• Must stand for long periods and work extended hours; lift up to 45 lbs.
• Must align with Snap-on mission and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible for assembling automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Starts out at $17.86/hr and attendance incentive. Hours are 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assemble automotive lifts and components/accessories


• Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with emphasis on safety


• Suggest and assist in process improvements which assures quality, efficiency, and safety is built into the process


• Assist in fabrication processes as needed


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• An understanding and ability to use assembly tools


• Capable of reading a tape measure


• Understanding of blueprint reading


• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization


• Strong understanding of process interaction


• Strong problem solving skills


• Understanding of general manufacturing


• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours


• Must be able to periodically lift up to 45 pounds


• Must align with the Snap-on mission statement


• Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
