Intermountain Electronics, based in Price, Utah, seeks a Mechanical Assembly Technician for the Afternoon Shift. The role focuses on assembling electrical equipment, cable trays, buss bars, doors, and siding for E-houses, metering skids and control centers.

You will work with a team to install components, follow quality processes, and ensure timely project completion. Lifting up to 50–100 lbs and travel up to 5% are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus 1 year of skilled labor in heavy industrial manufacturing operations or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand basic wiring schematics and layout diagrams.
• Experience with various hand tools.
• Self-motivated, team oriented with minimal supervision.
• Detail oriented with a focus on quality and meeting due dates.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 100 lbs, occasional heights work.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment and components on electrical equipment such as E-houses, metering skids, MCCs and control centers.
• Assemble frames, cable trays, buss bars, doors, and siding per project specs.
• Follow quality processes and verify mechanical integrity of units.
• Position, align and adjust work pieces to facilitate wiring and assembly.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs.
• Travel up to 5% as needed.
