Work Schedule
Afternoon Shift – Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. Enjoy every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off.
Responsibilities
- Install and wire electrical components into custom power distribution equipment.
- Assemble switchgear, panelboards, transformers, PLC systems, relays, breakers, and associated electrical devices.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Route, terminate, label, and test electrical wiring.
- Perform modifications and repairs as required.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
- Perform continuity, Hi‑Pot, insulation resistance, and functional testing.
- Verify completed assemblies meet engineering specifications.
- Identify defects and complete necessary corrections.
- Support quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Operate wire strippers, crimpers, multimeters, volt/ohm meters, Hi‑Pot testers, power drills, hand tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoists safely.
- Complete assigned projects safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all IE safety procedures and quality standards.
- Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma.
- 0–2,000 hours of on‑the‑job electrician experience (Electrician in Training).
- 2,000 hours (Electrical Technician LV 1). Must pass IE Electrical Technician 1 Competency Test with a score of at least 75 %.
- 2,000–4,000 hours (Electrical Technician LV 2). Must pass IE Electrical Technician 2 Competency Test with a score of at least 75 %.
- 4,000–6,000 hours (Electrical Technician LV 3). Must pass IE Electrical Technician 3 Competency Test with a score of at least 75 %.
- 8,000+ hours (Electrical Technician LV 4). Must pass IE Senior Electrical Technician Competency Test with a score of at least 75 % and hold a state journeyman license.
- Journeyman license in Utah or Colorado.
- Competent in operating forklifts and overhead cranes; certification or ability to obtain required certifications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics, drawings, and specification charts to project setup and final product.
- Write NCRs and comply with safety rules. Communicate effectively with co‑workers, supervisors, customers, and staff.
- Compute electrical calculations – ohms, resistance, voltage, fusing capacity, etc.
- Accurately follow schematics and electrical drawings for wire match.
- Understand and manage company operation and production costs.
- Apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical problems.
- Analyze and understand project plan documents and specifications to resolve issues.
- Interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions.
- Use computer to log time and job hours.
- Lift and move up to 100 pounds; withstand moderate noise, vibration, and shifting mechanical environments.
- Maintain visual skills – close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Perform manual tasks requiring frequent heavy lifting, bending, and standing on concrete floor surfaces.
