Job summary

Accelera in Irvine, CA seeks a Mechanical Assembler/Technician to perform medium assembly of pumps and fans on 1st shift (5:00 AM–1:30 PM). You will work with Quality, Engineering and Production Control to meet output goals while upholding quality benchmarks.

The role requires 3–6 years in mechanical assembly, ability to read blueprints, and strong math skills. Pay is $20.00 per hour with health/vision/dental insurance and optional 401k.

Your Role as a Mechanical Assembler / Technician

In this position, you will be responsible for the medium mechanical assembly of essential pumps and fans, ensuring that reliable components are supplied to our engineering and production departments. Operating on the 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, you will work under general supervision alongside our Quality, Engineering, and Production Control teams to achieve our output goals while upholding strict quality benchmarks.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical assembly processes for various machined components.
• Carry out bonding, hydraulics, torque assembly, and riveting procedures to ensure product integrity.
• Interpret technical blueprints and adhere to established work instructions.
• Assist in identifying mechanical issues and conducting failure analysis to improve overall equipment reliability.
• Modify and rework parts to meet specific print requirements.
• Support general production objectives by managing a diverse range of assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a GED or high school diploma.
• Completion of an apprenticeship, vocational training, or equivalent professional experience.
• Between three and six years of direct experience in mechanical assembly.
• Proficiency in understanding work orders, technical blueprints, and written instructions.
• Competency in basic mathematics, including calculating ratios, percentages, and rates.
• Strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction in small groups or one-on-one settings.
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment while maintaining the capacity to work autonomously.
• Physical capability to regularly lift or move 20 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Pay Rate

$20.00 per hour
