Job summary

Post Equipment Corp. is seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join its manufacturing facility. You will assemble parts using hand and power tools, read blueprints, and ensure products meet quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and collaborate with engineers and quality control to refine the assembly process. A high school diploma and basic mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the company by assisting with various tasks related to assembly and maintenance of equipment and materials. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to put together parts according to design specifications.
  • Ensure that the assembled products meet quality standards.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance to keep assembly equipment in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control specialists to improve the assembly process.
  • Report any issues or deviations from the standard process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Interpret and communicate blueprints and/or shop drawings to understand assembly instructions and product specification for assembly and installation.
QUALIFICATIONS& SKILLS
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
  • Understanding different units of measurement and ability to read and comprehend measuring instruments.
  • Attention to detail to ensure precision in assembly tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
  • Mechanical skills with a passion for working on machinery and other mechanical projects.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment, with a background in manufacturing or assembly and experience with process improvement techniques (preferred but not required).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
