Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is hiring a Mechanical Assembler/Switchboard Technician in Smyrna, GA. You’ll assemble wiring panels and sub-assemblies, mount components, and perform tests to verify electrical/mechanical integrity.

Use hand and power tools, follow drawings and safety guidelines, and support process improvements. The role offers $22.00 per hour, eligible for a variable incentive program, and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in an assembly-related role with hand and/or power tools, or completion of a one-year Technical School diploma.
• No relocation benefit; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location; certain military candidates exempt.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or CPT/OPT/J-1 visa programs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring panels and sub-assemblies per customer specs using hand and power tools.
• Wire electrical switchboards and sub-assemblies per drawings and work instructions.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and conformance with specs and codes.
• Understand power flow and reference guidelines to ensure proper wiring and compliance with regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and perform root cause analyses.
• Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture; follow 5S and PPE requirements.
