Job summary

OSW Equipment & Repair, LLC, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler II at our Tempe, AZ facility. You will safely troubleshoot and install mechanical items on dump trucks and trailers, reading manuals, blueprints, and schematics, and collaborating with a team.

Typical schedule is Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with bi-weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package available after 30 days.

Qualifications

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to read blueprints or schematics.
• Ability to learn and work in a team environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and calculate differences in measurements.
• Welding in flat/vertical positions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drill holes in steel frames and bolt on parts.
• Run/Feed electrical wiring and hoses.
• Zip tie wires and take accurate measurements.
• Electric & Hydraulic connection / plumbing.
• Basic understanding of air systems & operations.
• Basic welding.
• Large assembly installation such as tanks and saddles.
• Touch up paint.
• Body electrical outfit.
• Other duties as assigned.
