Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Everett, WA is seeking a manufacturing assembler to read blueprints, interpret drawings, operate hand and power tools, and assemble components to engineering specifications. You will manage parts in workstations, perform quality checks, document defects, and maintain a clean, safe work area.

This role requires lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods in a production setting, Monday–Friday on first shift, 5:00 am–1:30 pm, in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED or equivalent with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Experience reading blueprints and interpreting drawings to perform precise assembly.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods in a production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and BOMs to assemble parts according to spec.
  • Operate hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Maintain organized inventory of materials at work stations.
  • Perform quality checks and identify defects; rework or repair as needed per engineering specs.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, safe work area at all times.

Shift Details:

This is for 1st shift. Monday through Friday from 5:00am - 1:30pm.

What You Will Do:
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials. Utilize written instructions to accurately complete assembly tasks.
  • Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment, and light equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of products in work stations, ensuring all necessary materials are available and accounted for.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on work, identifying and recording any product defects. Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to quality standards and established safety procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a productive work environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Capable of working in a standing position for up to 8 hours per day.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Proficient in the use of various hand and power tools.
Attention to Detail:
  • Keen eye for detail to identify defects and ensure high-quality assembly.
  • Precision in following engineering specifications and instructions.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
Qualification We Prefer:
  • Experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication or testing in a production environment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and bills of materials to complete precise assembly work.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, cutters, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience identifying defects, performing inspections, documenting findings, and following established quality and safety procedures.
