Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electronics Assembler for its Phoenix, Arizona facility. The role focuses on assembling and repairing electronic units, soldering components, and interpreting engineering prints to ensure first-pass quality.

You will work 3rd shift (Mon-Thu or Sun-Wed 8:00pm–6:00am). We offer competitive benefits, sign-on bonus of $3,000 for external candidates, and comprehensive medical and retirement plans.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED with 2 years relevant experience, or 4 years without a diploma.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift: Mon-Thu, or Sun-Wed, 8:00pm–6:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and repair electronic units using prescribed techniques.
  • Identify parts, components, wires, and materials needed for assembly and repair.
  • Solder electronic components using industry-standard techniques and tools.
  • Remove suspect and failed components and install new components accurately.
  • Operate assembly machines and ensure proper functioning.
  • Measure, mix, and apply chemicals and adhesives according to safety and operational guidelines.
  • Read and interpret technical data including component maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, and engineering prints.
  • Communicate work status to team members and support staff, ensuring seamless workflow.
  • Document clear and concisely and maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize computer skills and office software applications.
  • 3rd Shift: Mon-Thu or Sun-Wed 8:00pm - 6:00am.
  • Training Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm for ~60 days.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or In the absence of a HS Diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to work 3rd shift hours: Monday - Thursday, or Sun-Wednesday 8:00pm - 6:00am.
