Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking an assembly technician to complete complete assembly, installation, and testing of hoists, subassemblies, and related components. The role includes reading blueprints, performing load tests, and moving parts across the production floor with an overhead crane.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds while standing for extended periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, process sheets, and test procedures.
• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 40 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Aligns components and bolts, screws, or rivets them together.
• Installs moving parts and tests free movement.
• Assembles gearboxes and sub-assemblies per blueprints.
• Operates overhead crane to move parts between areas.
• Performs load tests and records results.
• Rotates through classifications and works in multiple assembly areas.
• Uses micrometers and gauges to verify alignment and clearance.
