GE Vernova is seeking an Entry‑Level General Assembly candidate for our Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC. You will assemble, calibrate, and test subassemblies, following precise work instructions to ensure quality and productivity.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic blueprints reading, shop math skills, and a willingness to work the 2nd shift with overtime. PPE is required for all duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies using work instructions.
• Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub-assemblies or units.
• Clean parts and maintain tooling per instructions.
• Take precision measurements with micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Collaborate in a lean manufacturing team focused on safety and productivity.
• Log data and use setup sheets to configure machines and inspect parts.

What You’ll Do:

• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts using appropriate tools and fixtures per work instructions
• Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub‑assemblies or complete units
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
• Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity.
• Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Utilize computer programs to enter part data (e.g., serial number), log time, look up instructions
• Utilize work instructions, set‑up sheets and method documents to correctly set up machines and inspect machined parts.
• Ability to work overtime, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work occasional weekend shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Required to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes, with or without reasonable accommodation

What you’ll bring:

• Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Prefer 1+ years of related work experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, and use precision measurement equipment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.). with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
