Job summary

GE Vernova's Gas Power manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC is seeking General Assembly – Entry Level candidates. If you have assembly experience and are a hands-on problem solver, join our team located on Forrester Drive.

You'll work in a safety-first environment, part of a lean manufacturing team focusing on quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with opportunities for growth and technical advancement.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prefer 1+ years of related work experience.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, perform shop math, and use precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts using appropriate tools and fixtures per work instructions.
  • Perform preset calibration and final testing on sub-assemblies or complete units.
  • Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment per work instructions.
  • Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMMs.
  • Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity.
  • Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Utilize computer programs to enter part data (e.g., serial number), log time, look up instructions
  • Utilize work instructions, set-up sheets and method documents to correctly set up machines and inspect machined parts.

What You’ll Do

What you'll bring

  • Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM - 10:30 PM).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.). with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
