Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Mechanical Assembler for a contract position in Franklin Park, IL. The role involves building low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets from start to finish, interpreting blueprints, and assembling copper bus structures using hand and power tools.

Pay is $22/hr with 1st and 2nd shifts available, and weekly pay. Responsibilities include following detailed work instructions, performing basic inspections, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

• Interpret blueprints and work orders, gather appropriate materials and hardware, and use hand and power tools to construct modular steel cabinets and copper bus assemblies.
• Follow detailed work instructions, perform basic inspections, and ensure that every product meets established quality standards.
• Perform mechanical assembly work that may include framing, heavy assembly, machine building, and basic automotive-type tasks such as oil changes when needed.
• Use manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers to perform mechanical assembly tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
