This is an entry level position into the Cargo Assembly group. As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will work under the direct supervision of a Manufacturing Team Leader. This position is responsible for performing assembly operations as detailed in the Manufacturing Order and engineering drawing, functional testing of product, and kitting/packaging of hardware for shipment. Individuals must be quality oriented, able to work in a team environment, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
- Operates hand tools, air tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
- Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
- Performs quality work checks.
- Identify product defects and records identified defects.
- Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

- Basic computer knowledge.

- Ability to function productively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
- Ability to work in a standing position up to 8 hours per day.
