Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC seeks a Mechanical Assembler to join our Voorheesville manufacturing facility in the United States. You will assemble and align compressors and related equipment, performing electrical wiring and testing to meet exacting specs.

One year of relevant training or two years of equivalent experience is required. A crane and forklift certification are preferred, with reading wiring drawings and using common tools a must.

Qualifications

• One year of training in electrical or mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Able to read and understand assembly and wiring drawings.
• Experience with common hand and pneumatic tools.
• Certification to use cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand and power tools.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, including motor/compressor alignment and wiring.
• Install instrument wiring, electrical components, and piping per drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and verification to meet standards.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and maintain a safe work environment.

Your role

As a Mechanical Assembler, you play a vital role in our production process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and precision. Your expertise and dedication are essential in manufacturing products according to detailed specifications and schedules. By joining our team, you will contribute to our commitment to excellence and help us deliver outstanding results to our customers.You will report to the Package Manufacturing Supervisor.

You will

• Assemble and disassemble compressors, blowers, and related equipment using hand tools, power tools, cranes, and fork trucks.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly work, including motor/compressor alignment, electrical box assembly, and system installation.
• Install and connect instrument wiring, electrical components, and oil/water piping by following assembly and wiring drawings.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and other verification steps to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures, maintaining compliance with OSHA requirements and contributing to a safe work environment.

To succeed, you will need

You have one year of training in the Electrical or Mechanical field or two years of equivalent experience.
