Job summary

Atlas Copco North America LLC in Rock Hill, SC is seeking an assembler to perform the assembly of products by following the process to ensure Safety, Quality, and Takt time.

On-site at a modern facility, you will assemble mechanical and electrical components for air compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment using pneumatic and DC tools. Benefits include PTO, holidays, health insurance, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• Promote safety behavior and follow SHE procedures.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical assembly.
• Knowledge of assembly/testing of air compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment is a plus.
• Associate degree or relevant technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products by following defined instructions and takt time.
• Use correct tools and follow quality checkpoints.
• Support rework and repair when needed.
• Collaborate with Line Lead or Supervisor and maintain 5S standards.

Your role

As an assembler, your mission is to perform assembly of products by following the process to ensureSafety, Quality, and Takt time.

Safety

• Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations of the organization.
• Report risk observations, near misses, and incidents on time.
• Use all necessary PPE required for the assigned job.
• Contribute suggestions for improving overall safety.

Quality

• Perform all tasks with a "First Time Right" mindset.
• Use work instructions to perform mechanical and/or electrical assemblies for products like compressors, generators, pumps, or medical equipment.
• Follow all quality checkpoints before sending the machine to the next stage.
• Ask for help when needed from the Line Lead or Supervisor.
• Use only the correct tools identified for the job.
• Support 5S initiatives to keep the workplace neat, clean, and safe.
• Maintain discipline on the line (breaks, rules, rework, etc.).

Delivery

• Complete tasks within the specified time.
• Support rework and repair when needed.

Cost

• Ensure First Time Right to eliminate rework or scrap.
• Respect and improve standard assembly time via Kaizen cards.

• Experience with pneumatic/DC tools and alignment/assembly equipment.
• Basic computer operation skills.
