MCDS is a manufacturing division of HCI that provides engineered solutions for mobile machine control.

Summary

Performs a wide range of skilled repetitive assembly and cleaning operations to produce quality wire harness products in a timely manner; performs operations from work instructions.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Performs a wide range of skilled repetitive mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects.
  • Meets productivity, quality and accuracy standards at all times.
  • Assembles, modifies, reworks, and/or reassembles production components utilizing drawings, pick tickets, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions.
  • Prepares and utilizes basic hand tools and machines including but not limited to power screwdriver, ruler, solder iron, clamp machine, heat gun, vise, solder pot, crimpers, pinning machine, and automatic wire strippers.
  • Cleans parts prior to production use as required.
  • Identifies wires with use of basic color code sequence or by wire label.
  • Participates in first time production runs of new products.
  • Supports inventory accuracy by following established material procedures.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and team building activities; maintains productive working relationships with all team members.
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
  • Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of all applicable safety regulations and considerations.
  • Assists with creation of work instructions and bills of material as requested.
  • Completes all required paperwork.
  • Performs clean-up, material organization, and tool inventory activities.
  • Pe rforms other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or at least three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years related experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
