Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a detail-oriented assembler to join our team in Johnstown, PA. You will construct electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical assemblies by following exact work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include wiring, crimping, soldering, reading blueprints, inspecting quality, and maintaining IPC/J-STD compliance.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
• Meet daily production schedules and quality requirements.
• Document production activities and report quality concerns and discrepancies.

• Perform wiring, cable routing, crimping, soldering, and connector installation.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, calipers, heat guns, and other special assembly equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform inspections and verify product quality throughout the assembly process.
• Follow IPC and J-STD workmanship standards.
• Document production activities, labor tracking, and assembly completion within systems.
• Identify and report quality concerns, material shortages, and discrepancies in work instructions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Meet daily production schedules, quality requirements, and efficiency goals.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Job description

This position is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting electrical and mechanical assemblies while following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
