2nd Shift Mechanical Assembler

Position: Mechanical Assembler

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Position Overview

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for building water filtration systems from sub-assemblies through complete machine assembly. This role requires experience with mechanical assembly, blueprint reading, hand and power tools, measuring devices, and working with PVC piping. Candidates with manufacturing, construction, or industrial assembly backgrounds are highly transferable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble water filtration equipment and complete machine builds.
• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly work.
• Cut, glue, and deburr PVC piping.
• Install pumps, instruments, fittings, and piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools.
• Operate saws and cutting equipment.
• Use hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
• Move materials and completed products throughout the production area.
• Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and testing.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly or construction-related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
• At least 1 year of experience using tape measures accurately.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
