Apollopros in Greenlawn, NY is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for first shift on a contract-to-hire basis. The role involves assembling electronic and mechanical subassemblies, with emphasis on soldering and adherence to documented work plans and quality standards.

You will install devices and wire harnesses, inspect for IPC-610/620 conformance, and perform related duties as needed. A DoD Secret clearance (citizenship required) and relevant assembly experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidate must obtain DoD Secret Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Two years of high school or trade school education.
• Three to four years of electronic assembly experience.
• Must achieve specified solder certification.
• Hand soldering through hold and surface mount solder rework.
• Able to use various hand tools and perform simple testing.

Mechanical Assembler Greenlawn NY Contract to Hire - 1st Shift, 980 Pay Rate: $24.50/Hr.

REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanical Assembler Our client requires that candidates must have ability to obtain a DoD Secret Personnel Clearance (PCL), for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
• Requires two (2) years of a High School or Trade School education.
• Requires Three (3) to Four (4) years of electronic assembly experience.
• Must achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques pre company and customer standards.
• Hand solder through hold and surface mount solder rework.
• Able to work to process sheets and work plans.
• Able to use various hand tools and perform simple testing.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mechanical Assembler Performs complex assembly or modification tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and systems.

Specific Responsibilities

1. Install a variety of mechanical devices,hardware,wire harness, using wire soldering techniques, and ability to point wire.
2. Assembles, disassembles, and modifies various production subassemblies by following work plans.
3. Inspects results to ensure conformance to IPC-610/620 standards.
4. Performs tasks of lower level assembler job descriptions as needed.
5. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

SKILLS PREFERRED

Strong solder skills and good mechanical aptitude.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Mechanical Assembler (4) to (8) year of electronic / mechanical assembly experience.
