SUMMARY: Under limited direction of a lead/supervisor/manager, provides assembly support in building mechanical assemblies.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and follow processes and perform work as assigned
• Use small hand tools including screwdrivers, tweezers, and mallets for mechanical assembly
• Cut, strip, crimp, or otherwise assemble materials used to produce cable assemblies
• Distinguish colors and read small print to perform procedural tasks
• Learns and retains information related to standards and specifications through provided training
• Evaluate mechanical or material issues as needed
• Place finished goods in the designated area
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
• All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 4 years of work experience related to mechanical assembly in the electronics industry
• Basic knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow assembly and finishing processes
• Proficiency with various hardware, assembly materials, and tools
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to interpret documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, customer drawings, and IPC-620 standards
• Ability to solder RoHS compliant materials
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic computer skills (database management, word processing, spreadsheets)
• Certification to IPC-A-610 or IPC-A-620 workmanship standards
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
