About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join a precision manufacturing operation specializing in custom, low-volume mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an assembler who enjoys building complex equipment from technical drawings and schematics rather than performing repetitive, high-speed production-line assembly. You will work on a variety of custom projects, fabricating and assembling components and complete systems while ensuring accuracy, quality, and safe operation.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, and can independently troubleshoot assembly challenges in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble customized mechanical subassemblies and complete components using hand and power tools.
  • Assemble and integrate mechanical and electro-mechanical components with attention to alignment, fastening, tolerances, and operational clearances.
  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints, multi-view drawings, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and production routers.
  • Inspect incoming components for proper fit, finish, dimensions, and overall quality.
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections to verify assemblies meet specifications and functional requirements.
  • Use precision pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, and other specialized assembly equipment.
  • Safely operate or work around overhead cranes, hoisting equipment, and material-handling equipment to position large or heavy components.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues and make appropriate adjustments to achieve proper fit and function.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical assembly, custom manufacturing, industrial assembly, machine shop, or a related environment.
  • Experience assembling complex mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision pneumatic tools, and torque wrenches.
  • Ability to troubleshoot assembly problems and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with low-volume, custom-built machinery or industrial equipment.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical system integration.
  • Familiarity with bills of materials (BOMs), production routers, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience using overhead cranes, hoists, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Experience working in a precision manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
What We Offer
  • Competitive hourly compensation starting at $18/hour, based on experience.
  • Full benefits package including:
    • Medical insurance
    • Dental insurance
    • Vision insurance
    • Short-term and long-term disability coverage
    • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
    • Generous paid time off (PTO).
    • Paid holidays.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
