Job summary

T5 Data Centers is seeking a Mechanical Apprentice in Texas to support journey-level mechanical duties across HVAC, Hydronics and related systems. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and on-site repairs in a data center environment.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in the trade and formal vocational training. Responsibilities include maintenance of HVAC/Hydronic equipment, system inspections, and collaboration with the team on projects and safety

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level mechanical duties in diagnosis, maintenance and repair of HVAC, Hydronics, and related equipment.
• Break fix of all electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Appliances, Rollup doors, dock locks, air compressors).
• Spill and Leak Detection system inspections/repairs.
• Hydronic rack cooling maintenance and commissioning.
• PMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers).
• Team scheduling and material requisition.
• Contribute to site failure reporting (Equipment Status Log).
• Mechanical project support.
• Clean In Place on heat exchangers; Chiller tube inspections and cleaning.
• Site plumbing maintenance/repair; Eyewash/shower maintenance; Forklift maintenance; Gas valve PMs

Education

Formal vocational training in fundamentals of the trade

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Mechanical Apprentice should be a Plumber, Steamfitter, Pipe Fitter, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Fitter orPipe Fitter Welder who has been engaged at the trade for at least one (1) years.

• The Journeyman will be responsible for performing journey-level mechanical duties in the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of gasoline, diesel, battery, and electric equipment.
• RESPONSIBILITIES
• Break fix of all Electro-mechanical systems (HVAC, Hydronics, Appliances, Rollup doors, dock locks, air compressors, etc.)
• Spill and Leak Detection system inspections/repairs
• Hydronic rack cooling (Deschutes) maintenance and commissioning
• PMs on HVAC and Hydronic systems (Pumps, Strainers, Cooling Towers, etc.)
• Team scheduling and material requisition
• Contribute to site failure reporting (Equipment Status Log)
• Mechanical project support
• Clean In Place on heat exchangers
• Chiller tube inspections and cleaning
• Site plumbing maintenance/repair
• Eyewash stations/Shower maintenance
• Forklift maintenance
• Gas valve PMs

EDUCATION OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE

• At least one(1) years of experience in the trade
• Formal training in approved vocational schools in the fundamentals of the trade
