Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Mechanical Application Development Engineer to design and develop high-speed connectors and cable assemblies in Valley Green, PA. You will lead technical projects, translate customer needs into viable concepts, and collaborate across multi-site teams to deliver robust interconnect solutions.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in product development/design.
BS in Mechanical Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree alternative).
Experience designing and developing high speed Connectors, cable assemblies and cable assembly systems.

Responsibilities

Own planning and execution of technical projects for connectors and cable systems.
Collaborate with customers and management to develop custom products meeting requirements.
Translate market needs into product concepts using diverse sources and multi-site teams.
Design for Manufacturability to optimize cost and processes without sacrificing performance.
Ensure selected connectors meet all functional requirements for customer applications.
Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing and participate in customer visits.
