Job Description - Mechanic Welder - SGSWe are currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Mechanic Welder at our power plant facility located in Springerville, AZ. The Springerville Generating Station operates four coal-fired units with a combined generating capacity of over 1600 megawatts of power. Although we will be retiring two of the units we operate and maintain at this facility by 2032, we continue to work together to generate safe, clean, reliable power to enhance our families, customers, and communities.

Position Description:
An employee in this classification will normally perform as a Maintenance Mechanic II and will use his/her welding skills as called upon. This position must be certified in all types of welding required for maintenance and repair in a steam generation facility. This position is required to maintain proficiency and periodic re-certification is mandatory. Mechanic responsibilities include testing, repairing, maintaining, overhauling, and modifying all mechanical plant equipment at the highest level of skill in accordance with plant procedures and directions, and performing related duties as directed, including the duties of lower classifications.
